Recently I met one of my friends who once was a huge foodie and was prone to eating carbs and unhealthy snacks – but now she has managed to control her tongue, eating healthy and god she looks good.
It isn’t easy to control the hunger for food – when your stomach actually is full but your mind isn’t. But then again, you need to keep your mind out of these silly habits if you want to stay fit and healthy.
Here are a few tips on how to eat less without even you noticing –
- Use small plates – When you are serving food, make sure you use smaller plates. A big plate and a small amount of food make it look like a skimpy meal and you won’t be satisfied with the same. But a small plate will not let you feel that way. The plate will look full, and you won’t even notice that you are eating less.
- Serve yourself at least 20% less – I know you can’t possibly measure the food – but yes you got to make sure that you eat a lesser amount of food than you used to. This is important because once a habit is formed; it is going to be useful for the rest of your life. And when you serve the lesser amount of food, you don’t realize that you are eating less.
- Eat a lot of protein for breakfast – A lot of people are prone to eat snacks after breakfast. But if you eat a big amount of meal in the morning as a breakfast meal and add protein to it, then you don’t really feel hungry throughout the day – or at least until the time, you are going to have your lunch.
- Keep snacks out of your sight or probably out of the building – And no! I am not even kidding. Keep all the unhealthy snacks out of your sight completely. When you see something, you get the tendency to eat the same much more than normal situations.
